Booking a Companion in Sydney
Most first bookings in Sydney are a one-to-two hour coffee or a coastal walk. The Bondi to Coogee walk, a coffee in Surry Hills or a wander through The Rocks and Circular Quay all work well because they are public, relaxed and easy to end on time. You can message your Companion before booking to agree on a spot.
No. Deeplay is a platform for platonic social companionship and activities only. Companions in Sydney are verified locals who share experiences like coffee, meals, city walks, karaoke and events. Romantic or intimate services are not offered and are against our community standards.
Companions set their own hourly rate, between $40 and $200 AUD per hour; most are $40–80. A 5% service fee is added at checkout. For example, two hours with a $55/hour Companion costs $115.50 ($110 + $5.50 fee). Companions receive their rate minus a 15% platform commission.
You pay by card through Stripe when you book. Your card is only held, not charged, until the Companion accepts. If they decline or do not respond within 24 hours, the hold is released automatically. Cash and off-platform payments are not allowed.
Yes. Every Companion is reviewed and approved by the Deeplay team, then completes government-ID and selfie verification through Stripe Identity before they can accept any booking. Explorers verify their phone number too.
Bookings can start as soon as one hour from now and up to 60 days ahead. The Companion has 24 hours to accept, so for a same-day booking it is best to message them first.
